In photography, I believe that the human face conveys specific meanings to images due to the direct connection with the subject, even when their gaze is elsewhere. A person seen from behind allows for various interpretations and multiplies perspectives; their presence in the frame does not evoke a single feeling, acting as an additional filter through which the photographic lens sees. The landscape captured by the camera is perceived and interpreted repeatedly, first and foremost by the enigmatic subject, who is so authentic in his unawareness. This becomes an aesthetic quest, full of intimate and respectful attention.
